Well, after listening to this song a few times while reading the lyrics, it's pretty obvious I think.

Jonas (yeah, that's his name ^_-) are together with this gal who is'nt that ambitious about whatever, as Jonas is. She is just driven forth by the dreams and ambition the songwriter radiates, but only the songwriter sees that (as a problem?). "And it's about time that I stop."

He tryes to drag her with him, but realize, at the end of his tether, that it is'nt the end of the negatives.
He gets scatterbrained about wether he should let her go or not, with opinions ("I get a light from everyone") from everyone and his owns doubts, only thinkin' about those remaining short happy snippets in the relationship.
He tryes to make up his mind, looking at the positives vs. negatives, but "nothing seems wrong", so he feels bad for his undeterminition towards her.
