Yea, yea, yea
Yea, yea, yea
Yea, yea, yea
Yea, yea
No I ain’t really come to hurt nobody, I’m just having fun
Told ‘em that I’m a savage and now they always thinking that I’m up to something
Got your Glock? Don’t up for nothing
Riding past 12, ain’t up for nothing
I’m turnt up, ain't turnt for nothing
Ain’t turning down, it’s up or nothing
I walked in and the party jumping like trampolines and like tambourines
I bust a move and they shaking something
I’m in my zone when I’m making something
That’ll get me turnt and I ain’t faking nothing
And when you blow everybody is bro, your sis, your friend or cousin
Put my chain up in his face and guarantee he still ain’t taking nothing
That’s word to mothers, I’m starting to think you undercover
Kept my distance before corona get your head bust and I’ll bust a buster
If you get too close, I walked out the house they see my walk and say I’m doing the most
I’m just taking picture classified and if I give a toast
I love you so don’t change my mind
Everybody that I hang around some animals like they apes of mine
And I’ll still have that .45 when I’m 67 with the 8's and 9's
Cause they still got them boys in the hood like Eazy-E back in '89 with a crazy mind
So I won’t get caught slipping
Still tippin but I ain’t sipping on nothing that get me tripping
So I got my laces tied but I’m up, ain’t nothing I’m missing
So listen if he end up missing it’s possibly cause he was dissing
He tripping, we ain’t gon' ever miss him
No I ain’t really come to hurt nobody, I’m just having fun
Told ‘em that I’m a savage and now they always thinking that I’m up to something
Got your Glock? Don’t up for nothing
Riding past 12, ain’t up for nothing
I’m turnt up, ain't turnt for nothing
Ain’t turning down, it’s up or nothing
I got to 1 2, tell me what’s the move
3 4, pour me up some more
5 6, don’t get up in my mix
When I get to 7 and 8, just hope you ain't too late you gon' get straight
Because I’m back to the business
Had to strap with no witness
Box it up like it’s Christmas
You had a chance no forgiveness
Don’t waste my time I’m ambitious
I’m like Mike Tyson with quickness when I’m vicious
He wonder how I call him Stevie he think it’s superstitious
No I ain’t really come to hurt nobody, I’m just having fun
Told ‘em that I’m a savage and now they always thinking that I’m up to something
Got your Glock? Don’t up for nothing
Riding past 12, ain’t up for nothing
I’m turnt up, ain't turnt for nothing
Ain’t turning down, it’s up or nothing
Double A, Double A, Double A E
Man what you on? why it take you so long
You was supposed to been get that

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp

The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
