How ya feelin'?
The day has had its way with both of us
And no, I've gone out of my way
But I'm not free
From this pain I'm reelin'
I was a fool to think some day you would come around
But no, no, no I'm not thinking that way
'Cause now I see

You are not what you seem
You are a mystery to me
Sometimes I just wanna scream

I think you should just go away 'cause
There's no necessity for you to stay and
Next time you come around my way
Forget it baby your not comin' in

How's your day been? Yeah
'Cause mine has taken strange and ugly turns
But no, no, no I feel better today
'Cause I'm off my knees

You are not what you seem
You are a mystery to me
Sometimes I just wanna scream, yeah

I think you should just go away 'cause
There's no necessity for you to stay and
Next time you come around my way
Forget it baby your not comin' in

A hot minute for a life of sorrow
No you can't come back tomorrow
Shut my windows, lock my doors
'Cause my heart won't be your rag doll anymore
Yeah

I think you should just go away 'cause
There's no necessity for you to stay and
Next time you come around my way
Forget it baby your not comin' in

A hot minute for a life of sorrow
No you can't come back tomorrow
Shut my windows, lock my doors
'Cause my heart won't be your rag doll anymore
Whoa, yeah, oh, whoa, yeah, yeah oh
'Cause my heart won't be your rag doll anymore

If you were to ask me, I would say that this song is about a guy who's sick of being tossed around by his girlfriend, so he's just sayin', "I'm not your playtoy no-more!" It's a very powerful song, actually. If I ever get a guy who uses me, I'm going to throw rocks at him and sing this song. XD

I love this song. I think it's one of the best by Maroon 5. I agree with dance_with_me, it's about a guy that's sick of being tossed around by his girlfriend. I can relate, unfortunately. These are my favorite lines:

But no, no, no I feel better today, 'cause I'm off my knees.

You are not what you seem You are a mystery to me Sometimes I just want to scream

Dance With Me Lois, first of all, I'd like to say how much I like your name :D family guy rocks. but I like Maroon 5 a lot, and this is my favorite song by them. it's so smooth and jazzy, and the vocals aint that bad either. I love them! I dont think a lot has to be said about the meaning of the lyrics, they're pretty self-explanatory.

This song has a really jazzy feeling to it. It sounds kind of like Hotel California, which is also a great song! I really like maroon 5 and i hope everyone else does too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
