She picked up the telephone,
All the heard was dial tone.
She really thought she'd heard it ring this time.
She said, "what am I thinking?
I must be only dreaming.
Or maybe it's the hundred times he's crossed my mind just tonight."

Maybe I miss your loving.
Maybe I miss your kiss just a little bit.
Maybe I miss your body lying right next to mine.
Maybe I miss your touch a little too much.

Tossing and turning.
Her skins still burning
From the fire in his hands.
Running on empty.
She needs somebody,
But somebody wouldn't understand.
And the telephone rings.

Maybe I miss your loving.
Maybe I miss your kiss just a little bit.
Maybe I miss your body lying right next to mine.
Maybe I miss your touch a little too much.

Talked about Savannah,
Sweet Home Alabama,
And how I miss the way she always smiled.
Are you coming back soon
By the harvest moon
If I have to walk every mile on my knees.

Maybe I miss your loving.
Maybe I miss your kiss just a little bit.
Maybe I miss your body lying right next to mine.
Maybe I miss your touch a little to much.

Now maybe I miss your loving.
Maybe I miss your lips just a little bit.
Maybe I miss your body lying right next to mine.
Maybe I miss your touch a little too much.

A little too much.
A little too much.

I love this song, the meaning is pretty obvious. It's about either a couple who are apart long distance and they miss each other or it's about a couple who broke up but are now realizing they miss each other "a little too much." Good song, CCR rock.

Totally love this song. To me, it's about long distance, since I'm in a long distance relationship right now, and that's about how I feel. There's nothing quite like the pain of wanting to be in the presense of the one you're in love with, of missing every part of that - even just "your body lying right next to mine". This definitely reminds me of my fiance and I.

I like the new version off of the soul gravy album of this song. This is how I want to feel when I'm in love, even if it's long distance. It's just a beautiful and passionate song. Let's hope Dierks Bentley sings more about this band in his next song. I heard about this band because of his song free and easy down the road I go when he sings ragweed's rocking on his radio. I'm disappointed in the lack of comments for them:( so sad, this band rocks.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
