Mind, filled with fairy tales. New ones every day, don't ask me anything now,
I know what you're waiting.
The curtain to fall.

Names don't mean anything, hear the lady sing.
All human rights are now cancelled, you need to handle.
The dreams of the day.

You've hurt them many times, why apologize.
"They were the ones who were wrong, what are they waiting?" " Give them a vail."

"Oh, be my valentine", play along with an angel with silver tongue, play with a stranger.

I never saw anything so white. Call me Ishmael, if it ain't a lie.
I am blinded by your revealing smile.
I can only be guilty of an innocent try.
You think you are right, in a way. It is something I hear every day.

I cannot understand you, to me you live in a world of chaos.
Life is a play you star on, to you it's all a game.

Why can't I leave today, and escape your funny ways.
You are a one person riot, far in the horizon.
Done for the day.

I outsmart you. I am wise, I defeat you any way I like.
But you got me forced into a fall. I am your slave, down on the floor.

I never saw anything so white. Call me Ishmael, if it ain't a lie.
I am blinded by your revealing smile.
I can only be guilty of an innocent try.
You think you are right, in a way. It is something I hear every day.

I cannot understand you, to me you live in a world of chaos.
Life is a play you star on, to you it's all a game of chaos.
I do feel stronger now, why am I still here with you.
You and your silver tongue, why do I still play with you.

I cannot understand you, to me you live in a world of chaos.
Life is a play you star on, to you it's all a game you play with me.

No comments? I think it's about someone who often lies.

I think the whole album has a theme of loss. In this case, the singer ;oses his control over himself, as shown by the lines "I do feel stronger now, Why am I still here with you You and your silver tongue, why do I still play with you". Also, at the end, "to you it´s all a game you play with me".

I think it's about someone who acts like he doesn't care about anything or anyone - He (or she) can hurt them, but it means nothing for him. "all human rights are now cancelled, you need to handle the dreams of the day. You´ve hurt them many times, why apologize, they were the ones who were wrong, what are they waiting? Give them a vail" The man in the song thinks the one whom is the song about lives in some kind of fictional story he has built for himself ("Mind, filled with fairytales, New ones every day, Don´t ask me anything now, I know what you´re waiting the Curtain to fall") but he can't understand that way of living ("I cannot understand you, to me you live in a world of chaos Life is a play you star on, to you it´s all a game"). Either way, he himself evaluates the truth and is angry on the other person, but still can't leave him.

I agree this song is about "lies" but looking deeper, there are lines that could suggest the Soviet Union, and Communism.

For example: "you´re waiting the Curtain to fall"

i really doubt SA would write a song that reffers to SSSR, but still, an excellent theory

i think it's about a man who's serious, hard working, and thinks about things in a logical way . he meets a girl who is an eccentric daydreamer. her innocent, playful nature bothers him.he and this woman do not belong together, but he cannot help but fall in love with her. he tries to forget about her but it is no use and in the end up being together.

I think its about a man who its very smart, bright or whatever. He meets a girl completely self-centered and narcissistic but not so intelligent. I think the lines"Life is a play you star on, to you it´s all a game" mean that.

"You´ve hurt them many times, why apologize, they were the ones who were wrong" She doesnt bother apologizing because she think she's always right. The man can help but fall at first sight but he discover the truth behind that "pretty" appearance "you are a one person riot, far in the horizon"...

Its about someone who lies and is nonchalant, and someone who is serious and tells noting but the truth. For example, the line: "I never saw anything so white, call me Ishmael, if it aint a lie" White, meaning a white lie. And I beleive the line is actually "Call me Ishmael, if he didn't lie".

Also, Someone with a silver tongue is someone that is a good lier.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
