I fuck you because your famous
I fuck you for your money
I fuck you to control you
I fuck you so somebody I can have half of everything
I fuck you to fuck you over
I fuck you until I
I fuck you for a secret
I fuck you because I can't remember
If I already fucked you
Whore
I fuck you out of boredom
I fuck you because I can't feel it anyway
I fuck you to make the pain go away

Fuck you because I love you
Fuck you for loving you
I don't need a reason to hate you the way I do

Fuck you because I love you
Fuck you for loving you
I don't need a reason to hate you the way I do
Hate you the way I do

I fuck you so I can fucking feel
Something
Instead of nothing at all
I fuck you because you are beautiful
I fuck you because you're my nigger
I fuck you because I'm your whore
I fuck you because you are a whore
I fuck you for fun
I fuck you for fun
I fuck you because I can
I fuck you so I have a place to stay
I fuck you so you will protect me

Fuck you because I love you
Fuck you for longing you too
I don't need a reason to hate you the way I do

Fuck you because I love you
Fuck you for loving you too
I don't need a reason to hate you the way I do
Hate you the way I do

I don't need a reason to hate you the way I do
Hate you the way I do
Hate you the way I do
Hate you the way I do
(Hate you the way I do)
Hate you the way I do

When i first heard it i thought it was Marilyns way of expressing that he would like to have a true freind or a true relationship with someone, because he feels(well felt at that point in time) that the people he had around him were just there for the fame the association with him gave them,or for his money, and his possesions. That he thought they were using him for whatever reason. And that he hates them because in his way he loved them, for being there for him,for being his freind or girlfreind or whatever, and then feeling betrayed because as it turns out they didn't really care about him at all, but were enjoying the hell out of using him for all he was worth(fuck you for loving it too).

I think that this song is about why we do things (to get ahead, be protected, feel wanted: aka "I fuck you because you are famous, I fuck you so I will have a place to stay, I fuck you to make the pain go away)

Yea i agree with marilyn, it's about being used and getting sick of it, and knowing they knew what they were doing but did it anyway

I kinda think it's a long overdue song for rose magowen (sp?)

Actually, in the booklet for Golden Age Of Grotesque it does say that the lyrics are "Fuck you for loving you too."

"Fuck you for loving it, too " Nononono. I have the CD and on the inside cover it CLEARLY says "Fuck you for loving YOU too"

and I think this song basicly, agreeing with almost everyone else, means: well fuck you for using me for all this stuff [I'd fuck you for your money] I really loved you and clearly you did too [she fucked him because she loved herself and wanted all this for her]

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
