Apathy falls in the ocean
at least we went down fighting
at the bottom of the ocean
this scenery fails calm
up till now been riding fine
but the curving walls leave me behind
do you remember the days?
did you forget those days?
what would the oddsmakers say?
would the oddsmakers say?

We're drinking on jet streams
through to
ideas won't happen
laid out on benches
through to
sink for this reason

If you see through these motives
you'll please report your progress
to the captain, our captain
so he can mark the atlas
never considered this a prize
but the curing walls leave me behind

I agree that this song is about the breakup of Atd-i. "Apathy falls in the ocean, at least we went down fighting"-this means Atdi broke up but they were trying to keep it how they wanted, their creative difference. "Up till now been riding fine but the curving walls leave me begind" possibly means up until the point of break up they were doing just find, and the curving walls could be jims/tony/pauls view were to take the band. The " Did you remember those days.." i think means just remembering the Atdi days. The line "Ideas wont happen" possibly means their ideas wouldnt go through to Cedric and Omar, or they didnt like the ideas the rest of the band had. I think the line "if you see through these motives, youll please report your progress , to the captain, our captain so he can mark the atlas." is Jim or someone else giving ideas what to do to the captain, who i believe is Cedric, so he can mark the atlas, being his approval. Due to Atd-i's break up becuase of creative differences, i think this fits.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri

This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
