Another year is running through my veins
Some moments wasted, some will remain
The days are getting shorter and I try to drown my fears
The shadows of the night slowly disappear

Another day to leave it all behind
Good morning life, so beautiful and bright
I'm going back in time to the days when I was young
And now it feels like life had just begun

I'm on my way home, on my way home
Yesterday seems long ago, so long ago
I'm on my way home, sending postcards home
And greetings from the eye of the storm

Another night, the curtain's coming down
I hear the silence just screaming loud
I can see the sunrise rising from the smoke
Will you be there for me, will I ever know?

I'm on my way home, on my way home
Yesterday seems long ago, so long ago
I'm on my way home, sending postcards home
And greetings from the eye of the storm

Rock the highway, Highway Star
And bring me back, just bring me back to my love

I'm on my way home, on my way home
Yesterday seems long ago, so long ago
I'm on my way home feelin' high and low
And greetings from the eye of the storm

It's been way too long
I'm still living in the eye of the storm

This not the lyrics to Eye to Eye. These lyrics are for the song Eye of the Storm.

    The actual lyrics are:

A life begins, another's over As another day begins Life runs full circle, getting older It happens to me, it happens to you I do believe you're still around me You're still around me all the time I have no doubt one day in heaven I will see you again, I'll see you again, see you again

[Chorus] Break the bread, drink the wine In my heart you'll live forever The time to go is never right When we say goodbye While we're here we shouldn't waste A day in life to say I love you It's now that I'd just wish so much To see you eye to eye, eye to eye

When you came home the war was over So many years before my time I was so proud the day you told me You haven't hurt anyone, no one

    [Chorus][x2]

To see you eye to eye To see you eye to eye To see you eye to eye

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
