Blood is pouring
Sleep is boring
Don't stop running
I'm here counting

The life, the hurt, the pain, the hate
The life, the hurt, the pain, the hate
The life, the hurt, the pain, the hate
Really keep fucking with me
There's nowhere else to go

So I walk but seem to crawl
For I've given in today
Now I run into a wall
'Cause I cannot find my way

You've gotta come with me
(I cannot stand this place)
We've fallen off the wall
(And I'm here in disgrace)
We had a chance to rise
(And now I can't replace)
We're going all the way
(And I'm in deaths' embrace)

Endless worrying
Life is storming
Give up beating
I'll start bleeding

The life, the hurt, the pain, the hate
The life, the hurt, the pain, the hate
The life, the hurt, the pain, the hate
Really keep fucking with me
There's no where else to go

So I walk but seem to crawl
For I've given in today
Now I've run into a wall
'Cause I cannot find my way

You've gotta come with me
(I cannot stand this place)
We've fallen off the wall
(And I'm here in disgrace)
We had a chance to rise
(And now I can't replace)
We're going all the way
(And I'm in deaths' embrace)

What really do I have to follow?
Nothing makes sense at all
Taking something from nothing
Watch me as I fall

I'm bringing me down
I'm bringing me down
I'm bringing me down
I'm bringing me down

You've gotta come with me
(I cannot stand this place)
We've fallen off the wall
(And I'm here in disgrace)
We had a chance to rise
(And now I can't replace)
We're going all the way
(And I'm in deaths' embrace)

You've gotta come with me
(I cannot stand this place)
We've fallen off the wall
(And I'm here in disgrace)
We had a chance to rise
(And now I can't replace)
We're going all the way
(And I'm in deaths' embrace)

It's just about the hate contained inside a person. It brings you down and tears you apart so matter how strong you are. The new Korn "Untouchables" is definitely the hottest new CD of the summer - if you like it loud, pick it up.

No, not blood or god. It's LIFE IS BORING, SLEEP IS BORING. Also, it's YOU'RE GONNA COME WITH ME... not YOU'VE GOTTA, and WHEN IT KEEPS FUCKING WITH ME, not REALLY KEEPS FUCKING WITH ME.

This is definitley the coolest KoRn song on Untouchables. It's about being torn down and broken by pain and hate

Yea... I agree with Oscar on the lyrics and the meaning. Well... then again, I always thought it was "Blood is boring, sleep is boring..." but whatever. Anyway, yea.. the song is about when life is pissing you off, although you try not to, (sleeping and cutting yourself don't work, hence the first verse)you're left with no other option but to Embrace the fucked up, bottled up (haha, song pun there) feelings you have inside.

Hmmmm... Interesting song. Makes me think of several different things at once. I definitely think that suicide is in there and that the message is kind of "Life sucks for me, I'm hurting and I can't make it stop no matter what I do so I'm just gonna kill it". It describes how you can be running through life and either thinking that you're doing all right so long as you keep trying to fight the crap or thinking that you're getting away from the pain, but you really aren't and next thing you know you're running headlong in to it--a wall of problems and shit that keep you from moving forward. When I think about it, I imagine climbing up the wall in an attempt to get over it, work through the problems. Then I get the feeling that the climber realizes they've made a mistake in trying to take this task on yet can't go back now. It's too late to run off in a new direction and so now you're screwed. Death seems the best way out. But I also somehow imagine that there's someone--a loved one--is involved somehow and the singer wants them to either come with him to the afterlife or void beyond or whatever he believes waits for him or is saying to them that they had their chances to make it good, but didn't take it when they should have. Don't ask. I'm weird. I'm probably wrong on everything.

Yeah this is one of the heavier songs on this album next to wake up hate. Both are amazing songs.

This is the loudest and heaviest KoRn song on the entire new album. I wish there was more KoRn songs like this. I love the way how Jon says Life Is Boring, Sleep Is Boring, etc. I'm so going to see these guys with Puddle of Mudd this summer

One more thing, it is supposed to be, 'The lies, the hurt, the pain, the hate, really can't fuck with me, there's nowhere else to go.'

anyone ever think this is about vampire or wanting to be a vampire?

I ask because "Embrace" is what, in the white wolf RPG vampire games, its called when you turn someone into a vampire. The Embrace

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
