Sitting in his office behind his desk
Got a Harvard badge on the wall
And he thinks he's the best
A smile on his face to seem like he cares
Just another troubled youth holding back her tears

What do you see when you're looking at me,
Mr. School Psychology?
You haven't said nothing to make me see,
Mr. School Psychology!
Psychology
Psychology, oi!

He brings you inside as he closes the door
Just another statistic to even the score
He asks his question, he asks you to reply
When its all said and done
It's you who feels defied

What do you see when you're looking at me,
Mr. School Psychology?
You haven't said nothing to make me see,
Mr. School Psychology!
Psychology
Psychology, oi!

Went to school, day after day
Got plenty of looks, but they got nothing to say
Plenty of friends known years ago
No longer speak to you
Cos you're not part of the show

What do you see when you're looking at me,
Mr. School Psychology?
You haven't said nothing to make me see,
Mr. School Psychology!

Mister, yeah Mr. School
Mister, yeah Mr. School
Mister, yeah Mr. School
MISTER SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY-
FUCK YOU!

I can't believe people have forgotten about the Devotchkas just because they broke up. This song is about being lonely and being called to talk to a counsellor (which has happened way too many times to me) and him thinking that just because he has diplomas all over his walls he can solve all your problems and shove his nose into your personal life, although that only makes him look like a dick, which most of them are. And then everybody looks at you funny as though you have some identity disorder or you're suicidal (which happens a lot too) and then everybody knows about the problems you have. After that your friends don't want to talk to you because they believe you've betrayed them. Well, Mr. School Psychology is a really good song if you're into fast street punk rock, and you like girl vocals.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
