The reason this song is so catchy, is the same reason all their songs are. They quick reptitions of the lyrics just gets stuck in your head. The thing is, it doesn't take away from the song like most of the other bands. HHH owns my soul. |

This song is by far the best Thursday song around. If only I could find the album. Full Collapse is great with "Paris in Flames" and "Standing on the Edge of Summer" but Waiting just blows it out of the water. "Dying in New Brunswick", this song, "Porcelain", and "Where the Circle Ends". How can you not love it? |

Juliana has said they are NOT a christian band like their former set-up as Zao. Though the guys are Christian, the song meanings are not religion-related like in the past. The Juliana Theory deals more with the harse nature of reality and relationships. They just broke up with thier old label (reason there was only 6 songs on Music from Another Room) and have signed a deal with Epic I believe. |

I really like Baby Jane's interepretation of this song. It seems to make sense. As for why this song made them popular, it was the video. Something Corporate = Post-punk, Saves the Day = post punk Blink = Pop, Sum = Pop, Avril = buble gum pop. Punk rock at it's core is dead! The last truly PUNK band was NOFX and well, they are gone! Hell, I'm reluctant to call them punk. Punk died years ago, it wasn't the music, it was the MESSAGE. It was "fuck everyone else, this about me getting my point across, everyone has it wrong, it's not making money, it's about being unconventional." That message is dead. You can be a "non-conformer" all you want, but your still conforming to that piece of society. Punks exists in individual minds who don't know what they are, but they know they aren't society. Unfortunatly, with the rise of NFG, Blink, Green Day, etc, you get "Punks" in society! Face it, PUNK IS DEAD. |

Ramthar is 100% correct on this. The song is not ABOUT Lord of the Rings, it simply has parts that coincide. The guy who said it was about the cult, was partially correct. Lord of the Rings was based on Celtic Mythology (The original inhabitants of Ireland) and Plant was a large fan of the subject. Thus through Lord of the Rings, the most popular book ever) he was able to make a connection to his fascinations that people could understand. In short, the song is an allusion to an allusion! |

Blue, I understand what you see in it, but I agree with the people who made the comparison to him on a bus. I think he may have written this song while on tour for Make Yourself. He is "floating" because he didn't get to pick the dates or the venues, the label made all the decisions, the label is guiding him where he is going, no matter what. "Further down the river" refers to him getting further and further from his girlfriend (well, ex now). |

I think this is probably my favorite song on the album. Bubble Toes and Inaudible Memories are pretty close though. Like Anna said, I believe it's more about peer pressure and trying to fit in than trying to be someone else. It's true that often when you are trying to fit in you change some of your little quirks, but I think this song is more of the little things, the right clothes, the right hair style, not so much your actions. |

Toad is amazing I must say. Listen to a song like "Whatever I Fear" and you can see so much about yourself in it. In my opinion, they are the first true EMO band, despite not being a punk band.

All of you are saying this song is about a crush, but I really don't think it's that. I do think that he wants to be with her, but I think it's something different. I think he hooked up with this girl, and that's when he discovered he wanted her. Now it's the morning after and he is saying that he's afraid she's gonna say, "It was just a little thing. Nothing important" type of thing. Almost like a one night stand. Look at the chorus, "So Don’t Say “These currents are still killing me” and you can’t explain how the wind went and pulled you into the hurricane." Basically, he's saying, "Don't tell me it doesn't matter, that you were just too drunk to make a decision. Tell me you love me the way I love you." So, yes, it's about him wanting this girl, but I think it's on a much different scale then a simple crush. |

The person in the song is debating whether or not to take that risk of asking the other one out. The key words are Courage and Butterflies. Yes there is that "Last Goodnight" but I think that is the person remembering all the times they shared together as friends, BEFORE something they got involved. |

I don't know if it's about him being violent. I think the guy in the song is trying to get people to pity him. He tried to commit suicide by hurting himself (the scar, the hurt back). The thing is, he never really wanted to kill himself, he just wanted attention. The innocent girl is the one that pitied him. She's being drawn in because he is lying to himself, and to everyone else about his depression. |

This is also one of my favorite CC songs, but I think it has a different meaning. I think it's about Adam not wanting to be alone, searching for that one person that can make him happy. But at the same time he's afraid to try. The ffirst verse kind of shows you that he's lonely. "All my friends got flowers in their eyes, but I got none this season." Basically all his friends got new girlfriends, but he's still alone. The chorus goes, "Waiting here for you, I'm wanting to tell you how I get my ends and my beginnings mixed up too just the way you do. I thought if I told you, you might want to stay for just another day or two." I think he's got this close friend that he wants to be with, but she doesn't want to. |
