I think the lyrics are metaphorical. "The gun is gone And so am I And here I go" The person narrating the story doesn't really die in the end. "Here I go" suggests that she is still alive even though a part of her is "gone." The murder therefore is figurative and symbolic--not literal. Aurora said that the songs in the album are about "bad experiences." If you ask me this song is about sex and the lost of innocence: "He holds the gun against my head I close my eyes and bang I am dead ... He holds my body in his arms He didn't mean to do no harm And he holds me tight" The line "I close my eyes" is very important. See the lyrics of her song "Through the Eyes of a Child." Closing her eyes = Losing the eyes of a child |
