I think the lyrics are metaphorical.
"The gun is gone And so am I And here I go"
The person narrating the story doesn't really die in the end. "Here I go" suggests that she is still alive even though a part of her is "gone." The murder therefore is figurative and symbolic--not literal.
Aurora said that the songs in the album are about "bad experiences." If you ask me this song is about sex and the lost of innocence:
