The Pogues – Misty Morning, Albert Bridge Lyrics 11 years ago
I can't help to get a feel of an old black and white movie when I hear this song, the texture of it all, the cigarette the curling smoke. I guess every Irishman that ever set foot on that bridge wheter because of the ''troubles'' or any other reason has a unique take on this song. The instrumentation on this piece is just so grand and solemn I can't help but to feel my insides rise when I hear it, much like the ending of Body of an american; Uilleann pipes do it every time.

The Pogues – A Pair of Brown Eyes Lyrics 11 years ago
the old man leaves the pub, he has no more brown eyes, he thinks of the youngster's girlfriend, and how they will probably get back together like alot of people do. The sounds from long ago, how could the youngster hear them? Only when you're drunk and pissed off does the wind laugh at you. It's a raunchy canvas this song, lots of textures and shades. Love the chorus, love to play this on the mandolin. Thank you Shane

Radiohead – Fog Lyrics 11 years ago
This song is about the child in all of us. How we were warped and stunted and how we perpetuate it on our own kids. The child that will never leave, runs around the house being dictated stupid decisions, the alligators that are flushed in the toilet once someone is bitten...Anything you want it can be done...Doesn't matter mommy will get you a baby rhino. The fog, I can't help but to interprete it as clouded vision, like an autistic child, which will never leave the house. Did you go bad? Who's fault was it? Doesn't really matter since you're stuck in the sewers. What a beautifully depressing song. But thank god for songs like THERE THERE
