Ataxia – Dust Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I think the lyrics talk about the time John was in RHCP before leaving the band for the first time. Looks like he didn't like the fame and didn't like the fact they were treated like products. Also, there's some girls telling him that this was a "pain world". The "We've given up a lot" strophe seem's to say they have given up a lot of good things to get where they got and that they've gone too far. That's what I think, anyway. Also, I think it's "The cloud are thin", not "all feel" |
Radiohead – Fake Plastic Trees Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I agree with IKI. There's a version of this song I heard once in which he cries in the ending. Why would he cry if it was about something like that? |
Nirvana – You Know You're Right Lyrics | 14 years ago |
This is obviously about Courtney. Kurt couldn't let someone be close to him, he was afraid of any kind of relationship. That's why he and Courtney argued a lot and he stopped talking to all of his friends before he died. |
Foo Fighters – Friend Of A Friend Lyrics | 14 years ago |
he needs a quiet room with a lock to keep him in its just a quiet room and hes there I think this part is about Kurt, he would do that. Lock himself in a room just to think. he plays an old guitar with a coin found by the phone it was his friends guitar that he played this is probably about himself. maybe Dave didn't have a guitar and borrowed kurt's. hes never been in love but he knows just what love is he says nevermind and no one speaks this can't be about Krist, he had a girlfriend at that time. Maybe about kurt, by the time this song was written Tobi had just left him. He felt really bad about it, but pretended it was ok, and no one talked about it anymore. he thinks he drinks too much cause when he tells his two best friends i think i drink too much no one speaks about Krist, obviously. he had a drinking problem. The no one speaks part must to be about the uncomfortable silence that remained between the three of them when they weren't playing. Most of what I said are just assumptions, but based on facts. also, the things I said were kinda vague, but I'm not in the mood to make a decent analyzing |
The Beatles – While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Outtake) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
No, it's not cool. This is one of their best songs and it's so under rated. I prefer this version to the one in studio, there's more to it. |
The Raconteurs – Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) (Nancy Sinatra cover) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
In one of the versions, he says "he was black and I was white" Maybe he relates this song with the way he broke up with meg, and this part referrs to him and her, since White is her last name, his is Gillis. |
The Raconteurs – Blue Veins Lyrics | 14 years ago |
There's a live version of this where jack's really pissed off while playing it, and he does a really long and sad solo. In the end of the song he throws his guitar on the floor, screams the last lines like he's in deep pain and leaves the stage. When he wrote this song he probably thought he could really trust someone, and she let him down. He played it sadly because she lied to him, like everyone else. I may be wrong, but it's what it seems. If anyone wants to see this version, its on youtube. The Racounters Live Bonnaroo 2008 or something. |
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Don't Forget Me Lyrics | 14 years ago |
To me, there are two possible meanings. First, he's dying, and giving he's last goodbyes to everyone he knows, telling them he's been really important in their lifes and asking them not to forget him. Second, he's leaving a girl he still loves but, he can't take the relationship anymore. He talks to her about everything they've done together (using drugs, having sex, etc) and says she's gonna find someone else. He also says they may be together again, if she changes back to what they were before. The second opinion it's kinda personal, so it's probably wrong. |
Nirvana – You Know You're Right (Home Demo) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Way better than the studio one. I prefer the live version lyrics, though. |
Radiohead – Karma Police (Early version) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
It annoys so much that almost everyone thinks this song has actually something to do with Karma. Thom Yorke said: "Karma Police is just a joke. It's the only funny song on the album. A sentence like 'Karma Police, arrest this man" actually belongs in a textballoon for a comic strip'. Also, Jonny said it was joke the band used to say when someone did something bad. "The karma police is gonna get him", they'd say. |
Bob Dylan – Hurricane Lyrics | 14 years ago |
A friend of mine told me dylan was sued for this song. Usually, songs like this don't use the real names, and Dylan did, so Patty sued him. At least it's what he told me, don't know if it is true, though it would explain why dylan stopped playing it. |
Nirvana – Radio Friendly Unit Shifter Lyrics | 14 years ago |
When Nevermind was been recorded, the Kurt wanted the original version of Smells Like Teen SpÃrit to be on the CD. It was a live recording with a terrible quality, the band was playing badly, so Universal didn't agree with Kurt, saying that version wasn't ''Radio Friendly''. That's what this song is about. |
