Reef – place your hands Lyrics 16 years ago
The common one is a chav called Scott that the singer (Stringer) was very fond of when he was at school in Glastonbury. (I was in the year below). When Scott joined the army, Gary became very dispondent.
The "place your hands" bit is a reference to the way a policeman ask you to place your hands on the roof of the car when he needs to search your pockets.
Here, Stringer is asking Scott to place his hands on his soul, so that he can trust him.

George Michael – Faith Lyrics 16 years ago
The song is about an orthopaedic surgeon who eventually falls in love with a cardiologist called Faith. (George's grandparent's were in the medical profession.)

(He) wants to treat someone with a rare bone condition "I know not everybody has a body like you"

Then he finds out that they are a cardiologist and gets a bit apprehensive as he thinks the cardiologist wants to FORCE him to DONATE his heart to a dying motorcyclist.

"You say I'm giving you the blues" is a reference to the iodine he's treating his 'patient' with, (which shows up infection).

"Before you throw my heart back on the floor" is the surgeon projecting his fear about Faith's inexperience.
