Fanny is the ultimate ‘Mary Martyr’. Another individual is tricked by her to be obligated to take her ‘burdens’, although the individual knows nothing about why things are asked to be done. Fanny’s accomplished her delegation at the end and looks like a hero - she “sends her regards”.

This song for me is a young person struggling to tell their loved ones about how they feel and what they're going through. Nice lyrics that can be perceived in different ways.

This beautiful fragile song outlines the desperation of a failing relationship, in my interpretation. The protagonist is clinging onto a situation that he knows is doomed (‘pray for me…’) and hopes that taking his partner out into downtown lights of Glasgow will rekindle something (maybe that’s where they met?), although he realises that it probably won’t.

It look like in this song she is talking about someone who didn't value her when she was not this famous that person used to treat her bad but now that she has made a name for her self he wants to come back to her life

This song helped me get through so much grief and suffering, but it probably connects the most with this one. I'm trans and gay, and in seventh grade, I met another person and we sparkled. We are together, and since we are both AFAB, we would always hang out after school and dismiss it as a "girl thing". We were doing a good job keeping things covered up from our homophobic parents, until one day our friend Rose found out about us. Rose saw us kissing and immediatly ratted us out to my boyfriends parents. We then had to pretend...

Rose saw us kissing and immediatly ratted us out to my boyfriends parents. We then had to pretend we unfriended each other, having to be discreet about our meeting places. This song is helping me through this and not fall apart or even worse, commit suicide. Please keep my BF and I in your prayers

Girl, late teens, moved from home and away from her boyfriend. She’s saddened for a moment upon remembering something sweet about her past love and security; however, when she realizes she’s alone, a spark lights and makes her reconcile with herself in order to remember she’s free…triumphantly free (hence the use of instrumentals throughout and especially at the end of the song). She’s an American girl.
