Two people who get each other and they get along so well - it's like they complete each other, they've found the person they were looking for. They're happy together - for however long that is - days, weeks, even decades.
But maybe they either get to know each other better or they're different when in the company of others or maybe they simply grow apart. They want to go back to that perfect little bubble, or the person they were before.
I think the point is that not everyone who is in your life is supposed to be forever
People break-up (friends, lovers, whatever) don't have to be dramatic and full of burnt bridges and spite - sometimes people are just in our lives for a certain amount of time and that's it. There's no malice on anyone's part, it just doesn't work, as much as you may want it to.
