I love this song- it's always had a special significance to me as I've lived in Walthamstow all my life.
For anyone who cares, Walthamstow is a town in the Borough of Waltham Forest in the north east on the city of London. The London Underground station there is at the very end of the Victoria line, where the trains terminate.
I always thought the line "He can't believe his luck ‘cause he’s in Walthamstow, and she’s leaving the train also" was a bit odd, because as Walthamstow is the end of the line, of course she was going to get off there- it was either that or go back the other way!
