Fun music- this used to be one of my favorites to listen to while closing up the little shop I once worked at. Good funky rhythm and fun, tongue-dancing lyrics to sing along with. One of the scarce songs where Ani isn't really delivering any sort of message or going on a mini tirade of sorts, rather she's just going with a general idea and rolling it around a bit while she and Maceo Parker (guest artist on this song) get their musical groove on.
To me she is saying that life can wear her, but she gets up and rocks the boat around a bit and does what else she can to keep herself up.
