there was this guy i knew he was the biggest jerk
he fooled everyone with his smile it would always work
and then there was this girl
he took her away from me
i was young and in love
i called her everyday at 3
we started haging out more
guess we became best friends
that was good enough for me
she would never get the message i would send
so then that guy went after her
and i got really really jealous
they started going out now
i wonder how this became a mess
i know it never seems to work out your way
dont through a fit not even a little bit
just try to make your say
give it all you've got and never give up
if that girl you want doesnt take you in
then you havnt tried enough
one time when i was young
this girl walked in with me
she took my heart away
i just turned and walked away
the only thing i had a girl to dream about
a stupid memory another dumb story
cuz i dont need you anymore
turn away look ahead and walk out that door
she dont worry about what i say
she'll just turn and look the other way
i feel like ive been robbed
or maybe just my heart just stopped
i used to do everything
write her songs and even sing
she put my mind in a haze
