The raw energy in this is just so fucking insane. Especially in the original. Dani Filth butchered this with his obnoxious voice and keyboards. BLACK METAL!!!!!1

this song is awesome! i find some humor in it given that it's an all-time favorite of mine. i find it humorous because the vocals at the end right before the final words "black metal" are sung are trying to scare me (the series of moans i'm referring to), but it is entertaining to hear that because it doesn't scare me. and what is funny is that this song is perfect to scare innocent people with when giving out candy for Halloween. these guys better make it into the rock and roll hall of fame or something! they deserve total recognition in the entire world of music! legends of rock they are!

Lol Cradle of Filth version better?? Man that makes me sick to my stomach.

This was pretty much the song that started black metal, while the song itself is best descriped as speed metal, in the vein of a more aggresive Motorhead. Chronos evil vocal delivery, and the fast riff would go onto inspire countless black metal bands a few years later. Great song, a true metal classic. \m/

I have respect for some black metal bands, mostly those on indie labels, but as for the genre in a whole. I don't really enjoy it. I think Venom are a bit full of themselves. I agree with B12, songs about "rockin' out" and the related is moronic.

Venom is one of the Black Metal bands everyone should honor(well if u like black metal)second is Hellhammer or Bathory.
