Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.
The Al Sirat hides behind a wardrobe of eunuchs
Seconds collide 'til the Padisha scandal
The cauldrons have eyes by way of racket and vice
A brothel's bedpan filled with demimonde lice
Dethroned by the comatorium
De-loused in the comatorium
The Al Sirat hides behind a wardrobe of eunuchs
Seconds collide till the padisha scandal
Tribunals installed now that the provoste has been de-frocked
The labefaction is venal
My how these tricks turn themselves
In the wake of the inquisition limbless answers inoculated
I've caught mono bobbing for barbed wire
These nasty sores of ataxia will feel the sting of the opiate copulation
Seconds collide 'til the Padisha scandal
The cauldrons have eyes by way of racket and vice
A brothel's bedpan filled with demimonde lice
Dethroned by the comatorium
De-loused in the comatorium
The Al Sirat hides behind a wardrobe of eunuchs
Seconds collide till the padisha scandal
Tribunals installed now that the provoste has been de-frocked
The labefaction is venal
My how these tricks turn themselves
In the wake of the inquisition limbless answers inoculated
I've caught mono bobbing for barbed wire
These nasty sores of ataxia will feel the sting of the opiate copulation

He reuses the verse melody from the previous album's "Dirty Little Religion", the topics of the verses are all over the place, and he packs too many words into one line (goes to show...) and too few in another (it's pretty hard to find), and rhymes "Henley Regatta" with "Persona non grata", but gets away with it all as only he could.

Like a lot of the other comments are saying, I think this mainly about voyeurism. If the song was about his girlfriend, then why would he use the word spy. If you are a spy it means you shouldn't be caught, that is kind of the whole point, and if you are a voyeur, the whole point of the pleasure you get from it, is the fact that the other people don't know you are watching them. See a bit of a connection there?

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
sparta and emoJustin suck
am i the only one who thinks that this song is closely related to the Deloused in teh Commatorium album's theme? an Eunuch is also "one that lack virility or power" - so maybe it's not literally a sexual reference, but more of a reference to some sort of weakness he has...and provocateur has some lose ties to "trickery" so what i'm thinking is that Julio was in one way or another tricked and this song talks about that and how it's unfair - but doesn't say taht literally. also, about the "de-loused in the commatorium" i think that's a straight reference to how Julio tried to kill himself...the lice being the drugs that are in his brain...so he was "de-loused" you know, de-toxed...and in the commatorium can either be a reference to an actual hospital or maybe the state he was in in his head...anyone have any clues?
very good...... is that you, moatilliata...

Christ, these are harder to figure out then ATD-I songs. Yep I have NO idea here.
yeah no kiddin....well i found out what Eunuch means... 1 A castrated man employed as a harem attendant or as a functionary in certain Asian courts.
2 A man or boy whose testes are nonfunctioning or have been removed.
3 Informal. An ineffectual, powerless, or unmasculine man.
eww
The song is a good ride but....I mean are they worshipping Satan or somthing?
buh ahahahahahah....not EXACTLY<br /> ~Nick
nahh not at all...well to tell the truth i dont know. its a cool song though. i mean ataxia means muscle sorness...and opiate copulation means sex...so i dunno
I think I have an idea what this song is about. Al Sirat is, I think, the Islamic path (a razor sharp bridge) to paradise. The Padisha is the title for king, possibly middle eastern. Demimonde lice would be woman who are socialy removed because of sexual misconduct. Ataxia refers to fatigued mucsles, and opiate copulation refers to drugged intercourse. I think the song is actually talking about the sin of premarital sex. You revoke your chances to enter paradise, unless you are like the eunuch. that is where the bridge to paradise hides, in his clothing. The nasty sores of Ataxia, could be v.d. so now you must be drugged before sexual contact, only to get crabs again. It's a tricky situation, you want to hve sex before marraige, but for some thats almost impossible. I think I'm getting close to the meaning here, any other ideas.
jes man. thats some good thinking. thats quite possibly what the song is about. i think it is..
Oh yeah...Sparta sucks
you know something, you suck. your ideas for the song are very vaild, though.
