Being a 50s song, there's nothing in the lyrics to explain. Meeting a chick at a carnival. What else is there to say?
This song was actually written by Chuck Barris, the creator of the Dating Game and Gong Show.
The lyrics are wrong. Someone seems to think the Ramones tried to put their own twist on this song to make it edgy - this is not the case. Nowhere in the song is there mention of a girl puking. Nor do they say my arms were flying. They do, however, sing about a girl being CUTE, and their heart flying up... Someone should correct this.
Oh yeah, and it's a great cover!
One more thing... they don't say "you'll never know how good it just can feel". That doesn't even make sense! They sing "You never know how good a kiss can feel."
