Garden Of Serenity Lyrics
Come on take my hand
Come on little stranger
The spirits are angry
Stay away from danger
This is insanity
This could be the end
This is insanity
Farewell my friend
In the garden of serenity
In the garden of serenity
In the garden of serenity
In the garden of serenity
Meet me in the graveyard
We'll walk among the dead
On a midnight odyssey
Riding in my head
I'm not your enemy
Girl, I am your friend
Come with me on a journey
On a journey to the end
In the garden of serenity
In the garden of serenity
In the garden of serenity
In the garden of serenity
Come on little stranger
The spirits are angry
Stay away from danger
This is insanity
This could be the end
This is insanity
Farewell my friend
In the garden of serenity
In the garden of serenity
In the garden of serenity
We'll walk among the dead
On a midnight odyssey
Riding in my head
Girl, I am your friend
Come with me on a journey
On a journey to the end
In the garden of serenity
In the garden of serenity
In the garden of serenity

I fucking love this song. It makes me laugh though because Joey said they were a better American band than the Doors and this song is so Doorsy. But I still love it
I always liked this song. That whole album is pretty dark, I don't like it much, but it has a few really nice dark songs. This is one.
Like the little solo at the beginning, and even more when it comes up again in the middle accompanied by the bass drum.
But the lyrics. I came here to see if someone had some clear explanation for it, but since there isn't any, I had to actually try to come up with one myself, and I winded up liking it: the song is Death trying to explaining someone that their presence isn't a bad thing, and to protect that person from whatever dangers of the journey to "the other side".
Or something. I don't know. It's a long shot, since this is the band that solemly declared "I don't wanna go down to the basement, there's something down there!" and "Beat on the brat with the baseball bat, Oh Yeah!".
But it does seem to make sense reading the lyrics and tone of the song.
i really like this song, to me it kind of shows that the ramones actually aren't always full of anger and shit. the darkness copied soooo much music from the ramones, but then again who didnt?
The Darkness ripped off everyone, from Abba to Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust incarnation. But about this song ... personally, I think it's one of their latter-day gems and deserves to be well-known. One comment before me? Aw, c'mon, people!
This is an amazing song and just reading this is going to make me get the CD out right now and listen to it.
Back when Joey was still alive, the Independents did a live cover of this song, and Joey sang it. I wasn't there cause it was a long ass time ago, but they gave me the CD with that song on it...better than the original! It was right before Joey died. It was amazing.
I think this song is saying to a person who is on a path of destruction there is another way and if you take my hand I can show you how to leave the angry spirits behind and take you to a peaceful place
I think this songs is about drugs showing themselves as a fun way out of your problems, as a solution, but in the end they end up taking you to death.
