Before I actually read the lyrics I thought that the "true believer" were christians who think that their beliefs will protect them from evil. Clearly though it is not. It seems to be a demon, risen from hell, and unstopable by god.
Believe it or not, I think this whole song is a metaphor for drug addiction.
