Hollow Lyrics

I'll never feel again
I'll never feel again
Then I won't have to feel this pain I'm in

If it sounds familiar
Because nothing ever goes the way I've planned
If it sounds peculiar
Then you don't have to try and understand

I'll never feel again
I'll never feel again
Then I won't have to feel this pain I'm in

I'm not a great example
Of everything the world expects of us
I know I'm no exception
I've questioned everything I used to trust
A question of necessity or lust

I'll never feel again
I'll never feel again
Then I won't have to feel this pain I'm in

It's as simple as you make it
And as complicated as who you think you are

Cover art for Hollow lyrics by Face to Face

This is the ultimate song for when you've just been betrayed by someone close to you or if you are just feeling like the world's against you.

The power of the emotion in this song is overwhelming.

In this song, Trever suggests numbness... being an emotional vegetable... instead of having to deal with the pain of successive failures.

So many great verses, many dealing with innocence being jaded. When I listen to this song, I tend to think of how kids are always told that they can grow up to be anything they want, and how they're conditioned by society to have certain beliefs and expectations of themselves, and how failing those leads to a lot of pain.
