as I wandered...walked along on a lazy path
I shook and hand. he seemed to know so much more
so I listened...tried my best just to understand
then I followed to where I knew nothing of.
over the hill, come see the thrill awaiting you
go thru the door, there's so much more
walk in the big parade, learn just what to say
they will all try to fool you
don't believe anything, I'm your everything
they will all try to fool you
and don't ever think you'll see another friend.
time went on, we were friends of a different kind
but something there always tearing apart
standing tall on a surface of glass and rain
we traveled on with a hope and a prayer
over the hill, come see the thrill awaiting you
go thru the door, there's so much more
walk in the big parade, learn just what to say
they will all try to fool you
don't believe anything, I'm your everything
they will all try to fool you
and don't ever think you'll find a better friend.
walk in the big parade, learn just what to say
they will all try to fool you
don't believe anything, I'm your everything
they will all try to fool you
and don't ever think that I could do you wrong
I shook and hand. he seemed to know so much more
so I listened...tried my best just to understand
then I followed to where I knew nothing of.
go thru the door, there's so much more
they will all try to fool you
don't believe anything, I'm your everything

In "King's X The Oral History", Ty states: That's the song I wrote about Sam (Taylor, their former Manager/ Producer). I think everything I wrote is therapeutic- for one reason or another. It has to do with something. I think that is why I write- for therapy. It helps. There was plenty to say about Sam, and I didn't really know how to say it. So, I thought about putting his own words in there, and letting him speak for himself. The choruses are him, basically. The verses are me telling about our friendship, and the choruses are actually what he had to say.
