This is a cool song. The first verse is implyin that the girl lives in a fantasy world so maybe she is brought out of her world when she thinks bout him...

This is one of my all time favorite songs...its kinda easy to tell what it means but that may because I relate it to a situation in my life. This is a great song, I love the whole album

This is probably my favorite Gutterflower song. It's so descriptive and beautiful. I love Johnny Rzeznik's voice. It really shines on this track.

This song reminds me of my relationship with a guy I knew once. It's really amazing how perfectly the lyrics describe the whole situation. That's what I love about Goo Goo Dolls, everyone can find a song or more of theirs that they can apply to their lives.

All Goo songs rock...instead of my interpretation of this song, I'll provide some trivia:

During a recording session, Johnny hit his head on the mic and got shocked or something and he screamed out loud. They thought it was so funny that they kept the scream in the final release. You can hear it just barely if you listen hard right after he sings "and all you want is something i can't be" and then they go in for an instrumental interlude. As you can see, the person who submitted these lyrics wrote in "ahh!" where he screams. It's quite amusing to hear it. :)

this is so true. people are afraid to say/act what they really feel, because of the outcome(whether it's rejection or something else) no really does know how ya feel.
