Return To Me Lyrics
You rise like a wave in the ocean
And you fall gently back to the sea
Now I want to know how to hold you
Return to me
Return to me
Y ou shine like the moon over water
And you darken the sky when you leave
Now I want to know how to keep you
Return to me
Return to me
Turn to me
Return to me
Everything I tell you has been spoken
And everything I say was said before
But everything I feel is for the first time
And everything I feel, I feel for you
I am here
Calling the wind
I am here
Calling your name
I am here
Calling you back
Return to me
Return to me
I know what it means to be lonely
And I know what it means to be free
Now I want to know how to love you
Return to me
Return to me
I am here
Calling the wind
I am here
Calling your name
I am here
Calling you back
Return to me
Return to me
I am here
Return to me
And you fall gently back to the sea
Now I want to know how to hold you
Return to me
Return to me
And you darken the sky when you leave
Now I want to know how to keep you
Return to me
Return to me
Return to me
And everything I say was said before
But everything I feel is for the first time
And everything I feel, I feel for you
Calling the wind
I am here
Calling your name
I am here
Calling you back
Return to me
Return to me
And I know what it means to be free
Now I want to know how to love you
Return to me
Return to me
Calling the wind
I am here
Calling your name
I am here
Calling you back
Return to me
Return to me
Return to me

For anyone whose imaginary lover is a ghost ... this song (and entire album) was written for you.
sony canceled their contract so they broke up. when I first saw their video "bury my lovely" the hair stood up on my arms and I was hooked forever.
Amazing song.
i loooooooooooove this song
whatever happened to this band? They were so great...
so winderful a song!!!! my god!!!
This song is one of those with the power to strongly pin up certain memories. As for me, automatically it takes me back to 1995. But I think the lyrics are not well developded. I think they could have benefited from a deeper and richer imagery.
Nonetheless, it is a beautiful piece which still holds magic in between its lines.
No one has posted here for many years. This album was first introduced to me > 30 years ago. I loved it then, and put it aside. Just rediscovered, and it holds a whole new meaning.
I have no response to this song -- or, indeed, to a good half of those two October Project albums with Mary Fahl -- but to break down and sob. Devastatingly beautiful.
