i think its about someone who is on the road of self destruction. in this case using drugs [heroin] hence the line "evil equals needles" then it says "...so i shut my eyes again" so basically they are addicted to it and its controlling them in a sense and cant stop. they are however ashamed of it all. "Yesterday was everyday" its a continuous thing every single day As much as they try to ignore it all they cant and they just want it all to end but it wont "I'll keep running away from you" "Every moment, trapped inside, lost inside"

Well, if you consider the meanings of an "Oedipus Complex," it offers a whole new meaning to the song.

In psychology, the Oedipus Complex is the idea that, between the ages of 3 and 6, young boys develop a sexual attraction towards their mothers and a deep rival hatred towards their fathers...

So...yeah.
