Tell Your Football Dad No! Lyrics
hey there 15
please stop feeling sorry for yourself
i know what you mean
when everyone burns & beats up on you
it's hard to believe
but i was just like you when i was young
& sometimes i feel
like an adult version of
a kid who wasn't cool
a complete outcast in school
with no where to turn
how those punches burn
& turn into bleeding
hey football dad
some kids don't want what you demand
take it from me
you can do more harm than you know
it's hard to believe
but i was just like you when i was young
& sometimes i feel
like an adult version of
i could not believe
why they all picked me
it's not fair
trouble breeds fear
times were tough in your house
but don't blame your kids it's their way out of here
it's something you've grown up to fear
it's not that's it's wrong it's just different
is it yours or your father's worst nightmare?
times were tough in your house
times are tough in your house tonight
please stop feeling sorry for yourself
i know what you mean
when everyone burns & beats up on you
it's hard to believe
but i was just like you when i was young
& sometimes i feel
like an adult version of
a kid who wasn't cool

Aaaah...I hate football. I wish I understood this song. But I don't. So I'll just leave it as hating football.
The song is simple enough to understand. Basically the singer (the talented Jamie Woolford) is talking to a fifteen year-old kid and telling him that he doesn't have to give into to his father's constant pressure to conform to a certain personality type. It's basically a song encouraging this kid/the listener to be themselves and not to worry about what others think.
