I Miss My Friend

Its the truth in life many times...you can lose your best friend sometimes when you gain more...but in the end you can lose it all...i know i miss my friend...

At first I thought this was just a normal break up song, but when I saw the music video for it, I got it. I understand the artist's view on this song and I actually cried when I realized the meaning of this song, a person who lost somebody to death.

From the 1st time I heard this song, I knew what it meant and what it was relating to. I too lost a boyfriend by death. So many times I wished he was here for me to talk to, confide in. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and wish I could have 1 last time to at least say good-bye, and how much I loved him. Yes, I do know what it's like to "Miss My Friend"

this song is so great. country music sometimes can just bring you to tears with each songs lyrics. but this one can just open you up. i just recently seen the video and i can't think of a better video. it didn't hit me that it may be about death of someone whom you loved so much. still it could be just about another break up song but whatever you relate it to works just as well. honestly i relate it to the break up of my first true love that happened not too long ago. thank God that she is still alive but to me i really do miss my friend. she knew anything and everything about me and i always went to her when i had something wrong. no matter what she did she could make me feel 100 percent better with only a look. so you can look at it several different ways and that is just how i see this song. makes me think about her everytime. and the love we shared still brings a tear to my eyes. i really do miss my friend.

The song darryl wrote about his fiance that died about 4 years back I think in a terrible car crash. I havent seen the video yet,tnn donrt play videos anuymore and they got rid of CMT oput here about three years ago,but it sounds sad. This song,lyrically,is surprising like GNR'S Cold November Rain,same premise. And both add a classical flavor to their style of music. Its just such a great song. Country and rock FOREVER!

this is my song to my cousin john. to darryl he was talking about someone who died but for me, my cousin and i hardly see eachother. our only resource we use to talk and keep in touch is online and i miss seeing him and hanging out with him. we used to be really close but throughout the years things have changed and i dont know why. this song makes me cry whenever i hear it.

at first i too just thought this was another break up song...even then i was still in love with it...but now i read your posts and realize that it's about someone who lost him to death and it makes the song even better because so many people can relate to it! it's an awesome song!
