Ramses Bringer of War Lyrics
Wretched Fallen one of Khatti
Rise against the oppressing Sword
Encircled Abandoned Alone
I Smite the vile Hittite Foe
My Father Amon what carest thee
For the Vile and Ignorant of God
My Father Amon what carest Thee
For these Effiminate ones
At millions of whom I groweth not Pale
Raging like Menthu like Baal in his hour
Lo the mighty Sekhmet is with me
I enter in among them as a hawk striketh
I slay I hew to pieces and cast to the ground
The royal snake upon my brow
Spits forth Fire in the face of mine enemies
And burneth their limbs
My Chariot wheels trample the fallen
Cut to pieces before my steeds
And lying
In their own Blood
I Crush the skulls of the dying
And sever the hands of the slain
I Ramses
Builder of Temples
Upsurper of Monuments
Slayer of Hittities
Bringer of War
Rise against the oppressing Sword
Encircled Abandoned Alone
I Smite the vile Hittite Foe
My Father Amon what carest thee
For the Vile and Ignorant of God
My Father Amon what carest Thee
For these Effiminate ones
At millions of whom I groweth not Pale

Cut to pieces before my steeds

I Ramses

Amazing intro, you can almost feel the war
Fuck yeah man. When the growl comes in at the end of the intro....Gives me shivers.
Its like the point where two massive armies collide, but even more bad ass.
With the title and hittities mentioned I think it is about Rames' II of Egypt war against the hittities and how he battles them. The song is really badass as well, I wish I could write stuff like this
okay, i don't know if anyone else has ever noticed this, but the intro to this song is almost EXACTLY like the opening song in Battletanx for N64. both in 5/4, very similar notes, exact same rhythm. give it a listen. i think karl sanders played some battletanx back in the day.
Karl Sanders probably never played Battletanx, he however does have a broader interest than death metal alone. The intro to the song is the first movement of orchestral suite 'The Planets' by composer Gustav Holst: 'Mars, bringer of war', which today is actually almost 100 years old.
