well to me it just means that you don't realise what a person means to you as long as you have this person's love for sure. And when it's over you realise what you had and how you miss this person. "You don't know what you got till it's gone" - try to cherish the love you have BEFORE it's too late and not when it's too late.

It's about a relationship. You take it for granted and can't stay clear of the drama. He gets fed up, dumps you. And now you cry because you know it was all your fault and you ruined a good thing.
Song is from 1997 or 98. I knew it from then and I discovered it on an old disc again this year - since then I keep running the smooth track pretty often.
