It's actually "Angels take poisons / in rotting pavilions". Like drug addicts in crack houses (the point, I think). And it's something like "glimmering", not "gilding".
A symbolic end to reality, I suppose. Full of mystical references. Well, it flashed ZOS KIA CULTUS on the screen before they played this at the Royal Festival Hall show in 2001. A tribute to Austin Osman Spare?
