I think the first bit

Could be saying how sensitive or introverted men are sort of put down by the brash, chavaunistic men, so it's like they don't even exist, and women can't find them.

I love the line about the girls younger sister for some reason. I like darkeyes interpretation, it is neat

I always viewed this song as a criticism of how men assume a higher position and power over women and the carelessness they treat them with.

The opening of 'the earth did open , swallow hole' reminded me of how easy men can navigate their way through life in a patriarchal society. 'The earth did open' reflecting how easily doors are opened and closed for men no matter the circumstances and all the different opportunities this provides for them.

I thought the repetition of 'careening' showed how relentless and uncontrolled some men can be regarding picking up women.

My favourite part of the song 'im a man, a liar, guaranteed in your bed' is further describing how they go about regarding their promiscuity. Spoken from first person in order to criticise mens actions, showing their cockiness and automatic asserted dominance, abusing their lucky placement in a society where being a 'man' makes them entitled and all they need to be powerful.

yeah the song is about male hetorsexuals being scared of woman and there sexuality so they tend to feel they need to show there place or how man they are by going to bed with every girl.
