Nancy Boy Lyrics

Alcoholic kind of mood
lose my clothes, lose my lube
cruising for a piece of fun
looking out for number one
different partner every night
so narcotic outta sight
what a gas, what a beautiful ass.

And it all breaks down at the role reversal,
got the muse in my head she's universal,
spinnin' me round she's coming over me.
And it all breaks down at the first rehearsal,
got the muse in my head she's universal,
spinnin' me round she's coming over me.

Kind of buzz that lasts for days
had some help from insect ways
comes across all shy and coy
just another nancy boy.
Woman man or modern monkey
just another happy junkie
fifty pounds, press my button
going down.

And it all breaks down at the role reversal
got the muse in my head she's universal,
spinnin' me round she's coming over me.
And it all breaks down at the first rehearsal,
got the muse in my head she's universal,
spinnin' me round she's coming over me.

Does his makeup in his room
douse himself with cheap perfume
eyeholes in a paper bag
greatest lay I ever had
kind of guy who mates for life
gotta help him find a wife
we're a couple, when our bodies double.

And it all breaks down at the role reversal
got the muse in my head she's universal,
spinnin' me round she's coming over me.
And it all breaks down at the first rehearsal,
got the muse in my head she's universal,
spinnin' me round she's coming over me.

And it all breaks down at the role reversal,
got the muse in my head she's universal,
spinnin' me round she's coming over me.
And it all breaks down at the first rehearsal,
got the muse in my head she's universal,
spinnin' me round she's coming over me.

An anthem for all the girly boys of the world, Nancy Boy represents the next generation of males who care as much about gender roles as modern girls do. You don;t have to do what you were told growing up as a boy, the world is open and waiting for you. Grab your mascara, get yourself a groovy skirt and live your life in total freedom. If, that is, you want to. Choice. That's what it's all about. Girls have been fighting for choice for the last century and boys, sorry, but you're being left behind. Forget sexuality for just one moment and do what the hell makes you feel happy.

Is no-one going to point out how its about casual sex - and lots of it? Just about every other line is about just going out and hacing a wildddd time and doing exactly what you want. Placebo all the way man...

@Cinnamon__Spider - most correct comment here.

I remember when it came out, I used to select on the pub juke box all the time.

I had a good idea of what he was on about, but as a heavy metal fan all my life, I couldn't get over how so very good this music was, and the fact that the lyrics were so racy to the religious freaks was cream on the top, even if, I am not gay.

The bass guitar is just that good.

It's all about the lead singer who isn't afraid to be feminine. I think it's a great song even if you can't understand what he's saying.

i wrote a story about this song, influenced by a dream that i had. it was about meeting brian molko in a shoe shop and i asked him something, and he turned up his nose at me. When i met him, i think he hated me because i had blonde hair, or i looked too much like britney spears or something. i love the guy's image, but i get the idea that he is selfish. Does that come with the image? I dont know. i like it though. i like his hair.
