Hmm...great song. Mostly instrumental, but I think it speaks for itself and doesn't need words. Word is the "Hey, motherfucker, I'm after you. I know where you live" part is from Brian's answering machine.

Yeah, when Placebo became "famous" Brian forgot to take his number out of the phone book and so got various death threats and fans calling him. This was taken from his answering machine. After this happening he moved home so it wouldn't happen again.
The answering machine samples are actually from the Aphex Twin song 'Funny Little Man', which was released before "Without You I'm Nothing" (1997).
Nuke is right. 99% of Placebo-fans I talk to about this song doesn't know that it's taken from "Funny Little Man". Wonder if Placebo know it themselves, I can't seem to remember if it's noted in the inlay of the album and I haven't got it here with me
Yep the second bit is from Funny Little Man.. I just got the song and it's right at the end.. Except in Funny Little Man he says bumhole not ass..

Now this is so very similar to the 'lyrics' in Evil Dildo that it seems to be linked. Either Placebo used those words and changed them for their own song, or the guy who called up Brian was familiar with the Aphex Twin song and decided to use these particular words. This is all assuming the Aphex Twin song came out before the Placebo one?
It seems more likely that the phone-caller used Aphex Twin, than Placebo deliberately using those lyrics from their own song. Brian clearly stated that he put the actual voices from his answering machine to piss the callers off, pass them off as jerks.
So yeah...
