Dark Globe Lyrics
Oh where are you now
pussy willow that smiled on this leaf?
When I was alone
you promised the stone from your heart.
My head kissed the ground
I was half the way down
treading the sand
please.
Please lift a hand
I'm only a person
whose armbands beat
on his hands, hang tall
Won't you miss me?
wouldn't you miss me at all?
Oh
Oh
Oh
The poppy bird's way
swing twigs coffee brands around
brandish her wand with a feathery tongue
My head kissed the ground.
I was half the way down
treading the sand
please
please
Please lift a hand
I'm only a person
with eskimo chain
I tattooed my brain all the way
Won't you miss me?
wouldn't you miss me at all?
Oh

When I was alone

This is a cover of a song originally done by Syd Barrett, who was once in Pink Floyd. He had a history of heavy drug use and mental problems, but wrote some beautiful songs during his short career as a solo artist. He was considered the first "psych folk" artist.
R.E.M. also does a great cover of this song.
this is a Syd Barret song about schizophrenia.
Actually Syd didn't have scizophrenia he just kinda fried his brains...really tragic really. Anyhow the meaning of the song, it seems like Syd realizes he has a problem and he's begging for help from anyone and when he doesn't get it he starts wondering if anyone really misses him
Personally I prefer Syd's version
This song was wrote by Syd Barret after he was thrown out of Pink Floyd... I personally think it's about how bad he felt because of that, hence the "Wouldn't you miss me?" bit. Anyway this cover ain't that bad, but I think Barret is way too unique to be covered by anyone. At least this cover is better than REM's.
it's like a really sweet lullaby :P
He's asking for someting/someone here.
I think it's an older song from placebo. Something like an old demo.
