Black Market Blood Lyrics
Wasted face that swallowed time
With Armageddon crawling
She's insane, this friend of mine
And she's always bawling
Hear her calling
Hear her calling you
Hear her calling
Hear her calling you
There's a place within her mind
With rains already falling
She's insane, this friend of mine
And she's always bawling
Hear her calling
Hear her calling you
Hear her calling
Hear her calling you
She's preparing for the flood
The deluge and the sliding mud
She's preparing for the flood
Running on black market blood
Black market blood
Wasted face that swallowed time
With Armageddon crawling
She's insane, this friend of mine
And she's always bawling
Hear her calling
Hear her calling you
Hear her calling
Hear her calling you
She's preparing for the flood
The deluge and the sliding mud
She's preparing for the flood
Running on black market blood

Was it ever confirmed that this track was actually called "Black Market Blood"? Seem to remember there being some discrepancy about it actually called that on the alt.music.placebo-newsgroup
It was never indeed confirmed that the song would be called "Black Market Blood". Amazing song, still, even if the title is not really known.
I think the correct lyrics actually are; "With armageddon calling". Armageddon means the end of all things.. So this could be interpreted as the end is calling. I think the mud and the rains which brian talks about in the song is metaphorical. The girl which he talks about is "insane", maybe she's having a break down and the sliding mud is an indication of this.
i agree with Nirvana. its like a feeling of self destruction, the 'girls' life is falling apart- armageddon calling. shes preparing for what she feels is the end of her life
it is called black market blood on the official placebo website www.placeboworld.co.uk ,if you look at their discog it has it listed as the last track on black market music.
"She's preparing for the flood The deluge and the sliding mud She's preparing for the flood Running on black market blood"
Fuck, it's so good!
She know's the end is near but she's weakkkk
It's a way of ending the album on a dark note in a way. The whole album shows a different aspect and point of view in my mind. Each song on BMM is defining and different. This seems like the perfect way to end it by signifying an ending to the world or at least the world given to us in the album.
Like in Pure Morning, the unnamed but messed up female friend is spiralling down. This song doesn't have that slightly upbeat feeling to it, though; you "hear her calling", close to her end, but you can't answer. Brian watches her face the flood alone, the deluge and mud of her own mind catching up with her.
she's morally hungover. wasted face, since she's takes too many controled substances. swallowed time because she's forgetting her stuff. she's always bawling because she's desperate, and gets all her frustrations out that way. she's trying to call everyone's atention but no-one gives a shit, and so don't aswer back. she's running on black market blood, because she's trying to run away from all the dirty stuff she's done in the past, that's coming back for her, everywhere she looks. she's preparing for the flood because she know her mind's gonna catch up with her and probably.. well, drown on this moral flood. suicide, if you will.
good interpritation jubarbosa. i would say the same.
