Speak English Or Die Lyrics
You come into this country
You can't get real jobs
Boats and boats and boats of you
Go home you fuckin' slobs
Selling hot dogs on the corner
Selling papers in the street
Pushing, pulling, digging, sweating
Where you come from must be beat
[CHORUS]
You always make us wait
You're the ones we hate
You can't communicate
Speak English Or Die
You don't know what I want
You don't know what I need
Why must I repeat myself
Can't you fuckin' read?
Nice fuckin' accents
Why can't you speak like me
What's that dot on you head,
Do you use it to see??
[CHORUS-MOSH PART-CHORUS]
You can't get real jobs
Boats and boats and boats of you
Go home you fuckin' slobs
Selling hot dogs on the corner
Selling papers in the street
Pushing, pulling, digging, sweating
Where you come from must be beat
You always make us wait
You're the ones we hate
You can't communicate
Speak English Or Die
You don't know what I need
Why must I repeat myself
Can't you fuckin' read?
Nice fuckin' accents
Why can't you speak like me
What's that dot on you head,
Do you use it to see??

@Classicrockguy You're an idiot.
@Classicrockguy You're an idiot.
"The lyrics were never intended to be serious, just to piss people off."
^ Dan Lilker from the Speak English Or Live DVD.
basic joking racism...besides that THIS SONG KICKS MAJOR ASS-GET IT NOWWWWW!
I don't know if this is serious, but it's fcking insane! Fck all the nazi scum!
SOD is Scott Ian's (anthrax) side project, and it's some kinda evil version of anthrax, they wrote song they've never would have written if they where serious
Fuck You ClassicCockGuy! This isn't serious and it's funny as hell.
LMFAO
SOD was comprised of Scott Ian (Anthrax), Charlie Benante (Anthrax), Dan Lilker (Anthrax, Nuclear Assault), and Billy Milano (M.O.D. - Method of Destruction.
While the lyrics are not overtly serious, they were released in 1984, a time when the growing foreign population in the US was resistant to learning the language of the country in which they resided.
Best song, true fucking lyrics. If you want a job in our fucking country, speak OUR fucking language!!
@Danni666Murder Lol--this song is parodying dumb fucks like you. Jesus christ man, use your brain. If this is the type of numb-skull thinking you resort to then there's even more reason you should hate yourself for not speaking one of the many original languages that occupied this land BEFORE English. Nice logic dude. Wouldn't expect you to get that though since you're too damn simple.

"We made 'Speak English Or Die', and that record, it's a fucking anomaly. We weren't trying to do anything when we made that record. We wrote a bunch of fucking ridiculous songs that made us laugh. The whole twenty-two minutes, or whatever it is, is just a big inside joke. And it worked; it fucking worked. And people… Well, not everybody, 'cause some people hated it. Some people thought we were racist, and those people are stupid. But a lot of people got the joke all over the planet and laughed along with us, and it was fucking awesome." don't really see how this song is true, funny or how you guys think it is. someone's being a little close-minded. you probably think it's me.
if you listen to any M.O.D., there's obvious racial connotation in their lyrics too. not saying that any of them were racist, but some people (one of my South American friends) do take offense to their lyrics but listen to their music.
i understand it's all in good humor to them, but i'm just saying.
That said, even if the lyrics to this song and a few others suck, S.O.D. had some of the best riffs of any 80's crossover band.
