Open Arms Lyrics

Lying beside you here in the dark
Feeling your heart beat with mine
Softly you whisper
You're so sincere
How could our love be so blind

We sailed on together
We drifted apart
And here you are by my side

So now I come to you with open arms
Nothing to hide
Believe what I say
So here I am with open arms
Hoping you'll see what your love means to me
Open arms

Living without you
Living alone
This empty house seems so cold
Wanting to hold you
Wanting you near
How much I wanted you home

But now that you've come back
Turned night into day
I need you to stay

So now I come to you with open arms
Nothing to hide
Believe what I say
So here I am with open arms
Hoping you'll see what your love means to me
Open arms
Arms
Arms

this song made me cry the first time i heard it and i barely relate to it, but i see it as being about an on and off couple who finally come back together and realize how much it means.....the music is sooo powerful, her voice shines, its amazing.

Wow... I love this song so very much. It's one of her best songs. The way she sings it is just amazing. The piano is beautiful as well. She just sings it perfectly - no one else could sing it as beautiful as she does. There should be way more comments here!!! lol. This song is just so moving, so emotional, I just love it with all of my heart.

I liked the original. I forget what 80's teen movie it was in, but I fell in love with the song then. She did an excellent job with her rendition, as always. Her voice gives me shivers up my spine. In a good way.
