I think this is one of their more interesting, and underrated, early songs.
Lennon is one of the few artists who sings with such sincerity and intensity that one almost believes him when he shouts "I nearly died!"

One of my favorite songs. Kind of a Stalker song, you cant blame him the guy just got his heart broke.
This is a great song. It shows how women are evil. At least the ones I know. ;)
This song was inspired by some old song in which the guy goes to the girl's house drunk and knocks and knocks and thinks she's blowing him off, when it turns out he went to the wrong house.

I think this song was written, and was recorded as a demo for the purpose of giving it to another band (the name escapes me). John sang that version with a more staccato voice to match with the other band's style. In the other takes where they screw up and giggle, they were screwing up the lyrics, singing things like, "And I saw you walk in, your face..." Hilarious, boys.
John Lennon said that this is his first "polished" song ever! Its inspiration? A silhouette of a woman, of course! Lol.
