Mr. Moonlight Lyrics
You came to me
one summer night
And from your beam you made my dream
And from the world you sent my girl
And from above you sent us love
And now she in mine
I think you're fine
because we love you
Mr. Moonlight
Mr. Moonlight,
come again please
here I am on my knees
beggin if you please
And the night you don't come my way
I pray and pray more each day
because we love you
Mr. Moonlight
And the night you don't come my way
I pray and pray more each day
because we love you
Mr. Moonlight
Mr. Moonlight
Mr. Moonlight
worst beatles song EVER
couldnt be , cause john sings with a great voice, try it
nah, that MIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRR Mooonliiiiiight at the beginning makes me cringe.... sorry although it is good for a laugh.
Actually, it's a really good song. It's well composed and all around well made, so bleh.
I think John does sing this with a great vocal.
If you watch the Anthology movie, or maybe its also on the anthology cd, John is singing another take of it, and he just can't make that first big "Mr. Moonlight"... I love listening to failed takes, they're usually pretty humorous! I actually like this song, and like the beginning... it probably wasn't easy for him to do!
One of Lennon's favorite songs, first released by Dr. Feelgood & the Interns as a B-side in 1962, quickly becoming a cult favorite amongst British R&B fanatics. Written by Roy Lee Johnson. Also released by the Hollies at almost the same time Beatles for Sale was released
According to critics, and most of you who already commented, this is the worst cover the beatles ever did. I don't see the connection. It's my favorite cover, and in the top 20 for favorite songs. sorry.
Disposition_987 - if your not beatles fan don't post anything again. Have some respect. Besides the beatles rock. So go post something else on a different site.
This song would be completely forgettable except that Lennon brought his freaking A-game to the vocal. No matter how sappy the rest of the song, or how sub-par the organ break, that bluesy-haunting vocal intro sends chills.
