This song is one of my favorites! Mariah Carey and Snoop Dogg, it can't get any better than this!!!!!
hmmm? i wonder what this songs means?? obviously she's had a bad breakup with her boyfriend and is now livin with a rebound guy but she still cant get over him so she's drinkin herself away.

I do think there's a deeper meaning to the song though. If this is something MC has done then she's putting out a vulnerable side of her through music. She doesn't like to admit anything sexual she's done with men, but here she's admitting to have slept with a rebound guy. I think this is a song she wrote personally for her and not so much for her fans. It's a way for her to vent making it an even more personal song.

I think it must be my favourite Mariah's song (and I like her a lot)...because it just pictures perfectly the way you get when it seems that nobody can fill the boy that the love of your life has left you. I particularly adore the lines that say "Trying to find relief on the radio, I'm suppressing the tears but they start to flow, 'cause the next song I hear Is a song I wrote, when we first got together early that September..." I think it's so honest and that must have happened to her lots of times...she remembers writing that song while being with this guy and listening to it might be too much now.
I particulary feel this song because I remember myself back in 2000 being at home all alone so late at night, studying, hoping that I would hear this guy's car that would come to see me almost everyday...the feeling of void that I got when he left, or when he didn't come after a while, knowing perfectly inside of me that he might me with somebody else...knowing that I was falling more and more deeply and still risking my life for him. It was, and still is, a song that makes me burst in tears.
