i think this song is awesome! i love mariah she is fabulous and her voice gives me chills its so amazing. this song is really sad yet really true. its like she loves someone so much and something went wrong and it ended and now she wants him back so bad that all she can do is wait cause she doesnt want to give up on him. and shes saying that she messed up so bad and he probably wouldnt want her back but she loves him and real love is patient. way to go mariah!
Love it much!!! Everytime she sings, she 's really into it. She's like revealing all her personality and passion into the tunes. This song is just fabulous.
I love the song.. just don't like her version of it. She has a decent voice and I like her other songs.. but Phil Collin's version was definitely better
i love this song so much! its about a person who as much as she wants to cant get the one they love to come and they know it! I think it fits alot of people, and even though mariah isnt the one who originally sang it, her voice compliments the lyrics very nicely!

I love the Phil Collins version, but Mariah recorded this while she was enduring a difficult break-up and you can really feel her passion for the lyrics come through in her voice--this one gives me chills!
this song relates to me because the guy i like could be moving and he is the only one who really knows me at all and im gonna have to wait because he reckons he will be back but mean while hes just gonna leave me to rot in this town i wish that somehow he could see if he leaves he will take my soul with him and internally/spiritually i will die.
