Mean Mr. Mustard Lyrics
Mean Mister Mustard sleeps in the park,
Shaves in the dark
Trying to save paper.
Sleeps in a hole in the road
Saving up to buy some clothes.
Keeps a ten bob note up his nose,
Such a mean old man, such a mean old man.
His sister Pam works in a shop,
She never stops, she’s a go getter.
Takes him out to look at the Queen,
Only place that he’s ever been.
Always shouts out something obscene,
Such a dirty old man, dirty old man.
Always shouts out something obscene,
Such a dirty old man, dirty old man.

are polytheme pam and mean mr. mustard siblings?
"his sister pam..."
i agree drgonzothx, the second half of abbey road is phenomenal in that each song rolls right into the next.
"His sister Pam" was added in(I think John's original lyric had her name as Shirley or something) to fit with the medley concept. So yeah, Mr. Mustard and Polythene Pam are siblings
actually just heard it on the anthology and it's "shelly"
originally the last track, "her majesty" which is just a little tiny sound bit, was supposed to go between "Mr. Mustard" and "Polythene Pam". But I think the label decided to cut it for continuity so McCartney just tagged it on the end of Abbey Road. If you can program your CD player, you'll see how it fits between the two!
@tomauto Yes, they are related (although Pam is transgender, which accounts for John mentioning that 'she looks like a man')

I love this song, and how this polythene pam and she came in thru the bathroom flow, I put the record on mean mr mustard and listen to the end of the album, best part of my day!!
i love this album... the songs are mosly so short. go beatles
I thought the 2nd half is just called the 'long medley". Probably started off with Because and ended with, well, "the end". This makes Abbey Road one of the greatest albums ever. It's the musical arrangement that makes it great.
The second half is called "The Sun King Medley".
this song is too cool. i def. agree with drgonzothx, the whole end of the album just never gets old for me, i listen to it whenever life is crazy. it keeps me sane, this album means so much to me. that is all. haha

I love the line "always shouts out something obscene." There are so many people like that, who just can't control themselves when they get caught up in a moment.
His sister Pam works in a shop, She never stops, she’s a go getter.
