Beautiful World (Devo cover) Lyrics

It's a beautiful world we live in
A sweet romantic place
Beautiful people everywhere
The way they show they care makes me want to say
It's a beautiful world
Oh what a beautiful world
For you

It's a wonderful time to be here
It's nice to be alive
Wonderful people everywhere
The way they comb their hair makes me want to say
It's a wonderful place
Oh what a wonderful place
For you, for you, for you, for you, for you, for you, not me

is anybody aware that this is simply a cover of a devo song? tis supposed to be a sarcasm, and if you actually read the lyrics he's saying "not me" which is supposed to mean that YOU may think the world is jsut fine, but he doesn't think it's fine at all, if any of you have tghe means, watch the video devo produced for this song, it will give you a better insight into the lyrics

@Knave Murdok I think the manner in which Zach sings this song may confuse some people to it's true meaning. I think the line "The way they comb their hair makes me want to say" gives a better good clue of the sarcastic undertones of the song.

This is not to be taken literally. This is one of the most powerful cover off of Rage's infamous renegades album. This is commentary on how horrible everything in this world is. It's extremely cynical and sarcastic, but honest at the same time..

This song first gets me to feel good to be alive....its makes me feel good about life....its means about a person who is in love and the whole world seems to FIT together...Its a wonderful place for you...not me.....it means your wonderful person and the whole world is beautiful with you in it....just not me

I really like this (in my opinion) untypical ratm-song. But I don't think it's about love or so...for me it's about the blindness of many people considering whats going on in the world, about the differences between people (rich - poor, race, political things) and that there are many unfair or terrible things are happening because of these differences...and it doesn't seem to bother the people who have no problems. In my opinion it's also a very bitter song. But i can't really describe what I feel or think when I hear this song.

This is an untypical Rage song. The reason being that it is off of their cover album Renegades and it was originally performed by Devo. This song is not a happy song about how life is beautiful at all. It is very scarcastic and cynical about life and how many people are blind to the fact that they are wasting their life away. I really love this song because it speaks to me. I see the world in the same light.

Definitely not typical RATM material.. which makes it standout in a good way. Sounds like a speech right before a nuclear bomb hits. (dunno why it reminded me of something like that)
