Eric's Song Lyrics
Sometimes I feel like I am so far away
I’m lost inside my thoughts and I don’t know what to say
I know I need you now more every day
I push I pull I run so far away
And I’m sick and tired of living this way
Sick and tired of being alone
Sick and tired of running from your love
Sometimes I feel like I am so far away
I’m lost inside my mind won’t you help me find my way
And I know I need you now more every day
I push I pull I run so far away
Well I’m sick sick sick and tired baby
I’m lost inside my thoughts and I don’t know what to say
I know I need you now more every day
I push I pull I run so far away
Sick and tired of being alone
Sick and tired of running from your love
I’m lost inside my mind won’t you help me find my way
And I know I need you now more every day
I push I pull I run so far away

Again, he's talking to God:
"I know I need you now more every day..."
he's talking to God?..i didnt know that.the lyrics are great.
i really dig this band, but it's insane he's always talking to/about God... the lyrics are great though...
how do u know he's talking about god? just because its a religious rock band doesnt mean that does it?
No, it doesn't neccessarily have to mean that.
uhm who calls God baby??.....dont think its about God.
He could be talking to God. Most of 12 stones lyrics can be taken more than one way. This song, to me, means that he has tried to talk himself outta loving someone for some reason and now he's tired of denying it. Either way, great song! 12 stones rock!
jsut because these guys are a christian band, doesn't mean they talk about God in every song
diabolic, this song is actually, and quite blatantly, speaking to God. This is my favorite 12 stones song for 2 reasons; it hit me lyrically and musically in a time when these lyrics were the words i had been searching for in my life, and in God's infinite sense of humor or irony or coincidental actions, (you can really put any word here) i only listened to this song after seeing the title, since it's 'my song' to me, as Eric is my name.
however, this is written for, or maybe by, their guitarist at the time, Eric Weaver i think. That's what I've always gathered.
also note that the song is however written to be taken as speaking to God or a friend, presumably a girl, in this case. most good Christian bands write like this when you look at it, but sometimes one outlook is stronger than the other
